Live Performances
I play solo acoustic guitar at private parties, concerts, weddings, gallery openings, and receptions. To inquire about having me play at your event, email me at [email protected].
Music Books
In 2006, I completed a tablature book of all the songs from Wayne Henderson's solo guitar CD Made & Played. You can order a copy from Elderly Instruments.
In December of 2009, Hal Leonard Corporation published a book of ten of my transcriptions of Wayne's tunes, with an accompanying CD: Bluegrass Guitar--Ten Solo Classics for Flatpicking and Fingerstyle. Six of the tunes are from Made & Played, and are therefore included in the earlier tab book. Four of the tunes are outtakes from Made & Played, so this is the first time they've been available on CD. The tab to one of the tunes, "Lime Rock," was in the Made & Played tab book, but the tabs to three others--"Snowflake Reel," "Fisher's Hornpipe," and "Twinkle Little Star"--have never been published before. The book is available at a variety of music and book stores, including Amazon.

I've made a lot of solo guitar recordings and a few videos over the years. Go to this page to listen to sound clips and to my YouTube channel to check out my videos.
Bio
I was born and raised in central Illinois. In addition to my life-long musical activities, I worked for many years at the Environmental Protection Agency and the Peace Corps, including service as a volunteer in Togo, West Africa. I retired from Federal service in 2005 and now work as a management consultant, musician, and as a board member of a charitable non-profit organization. My wife and I live in the Washington, DC area with a frequently changing cast of foster greyhounds.
